Specialist Therapeutic Massage
I am a registered nurse and have BSC post graduate modules in public health and children’s cardiac nursing. I am a member of the federation of holistic therapists, the International council of holistic therapists and the British Wheel of Yoga.
I have 8 different therapeutic massage diplomas and work at various clinics in Thanet and Canterbury. I also teach BWY group and individual yoga throughout this locality and run day retreats combining yoga and holistic therapies.
I have always been fascinated with how we move, feel, and experience our lives through our bodies and incorporate a sound understanding of anatomy and physiology into my practice.
I aim to provide exceptional therapeutic massage services, and always conduct a thorough initial consultation free of charge.
I also retail skin and body care products, aromatherapy products and oils, gift packs and vouchers.

Aromatherapy Massage
This massage may be relaxing, energising or remedial depending upon your requirements.
Pure essential oils derived from plants, flowers, trees, fruits, barks, seeds and grasses that have medicinal benefits are blended and used to optimise health and treat a wide variety of conditions.

Deep Tissue Massage (DTM)
A therapeutic massage to the deeper levels of muscle tissue, fascia and ligaments that releases chronic tension, pain and inflammation. The strokes are slow and deep pressure is applied to contracted areas, either following or across fibres of the muscles, tendons and fascia. Deep tissue massage is a very effective treatment for sports and other injuries.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD)
If you suffer with recurrent illnesses, have cellulite, odema or any kind of fluid retention then lymphatic drainage is for you. MLD boosts the production of white blood cells by up to 30% which helps to ward off infections or speed up recovery. It also stimulates lymph flow which helps to remove excess fluid from the body. MLD is also a very successful beauty treatment for the face as it helps to rejuvenate collagen fibres, improves the appearance of skin and reduces puffiness. Over 70% of lymph vessels are found within the skin so the strokes are very light but extremely relaxing

Pregnancy Massage
Massage in pregnancy can be a wonderful experience as it helps a woman relax, supports her body during a period of immense change and can help to prepare the whole body for birth.
Pregnancy puts strain on the body and massage can help to relieve aches and pains and other common health problems during pregnancy (insomnia, swollen ankles, constipation, sciatic pain etc). Pregnancy massage also indirectly benefits the baby as when the mother relaxes she releases hormones that also relax the baby.

Relaxation and Labour massage workshop (with partner).
Learn some basic yoga breathing and visualisation techniques and simple but effective massage stokes to increase your sense of control and wellbeing during your pregnancy and labour.

Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is an extremely effective form of massage that relaxes the mind and the body, relieving stiff joints and tight muscles, fascia and ligaments.

Yoga: Individual tuition
BWY individual yoga tuition available at Spring Gardens and individual/group classes throughout the locality (see website for details).
